Whether you want to enjoy life solo these days or able to spend quality time with the people you love the most, like Paris, a picnic is always a good idea. Grabbing your favorite snacks, sipping on something yummy, reading your favorite book is all part of the richness of your perfect picnic. And if you can’t get to the south of France or to the Amalfi Coast this summer, you can still indulge in life at home with a European inspired setup and have a great adventure in nature of your own.

Once you’ve decided on the right day and idyllic location for your gorgeous picnic - ideally near some kind of water (even a little stream or creek counts) -

This is truly a make or break. Having everything you need, using real plates and cutlery, keeping your beverages cold are all key for an enjoyable and chic picnic. You want to leave the planning for the fun bits like picking out the yummiest treats and not having to remember to add anything to your picnic basket. You may be curating the perfect picnic for a photoshoot for Instagram and in that case, you’re looking for pretty delicacies for your style, but if you are looking to indulge your senses and not have a big clean-up, reach for things in the market that don’t make for a mess or can more easily spill.
Great fruits to pack include grapes, a mixed berry salad (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries), pre-sliced watermelon, canteloupe, pineapple, apple
If you’re a dairy eater - any of the famous Spanish, French or Italian cheeses; manchego and Iberico cheese. comté, Munster, mozzarella balls, gruyere
Delicious vegetables include; slices of sweet peppers, cucumber or zucchini spears, olives, carrot sticks, endive lettuce, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, radish. And of course, don’t forget your favorite dips like tzatziki, blue cheese, cannellini
If you’re a meat-eater; prosciutto, salami, chorizo, lomo

Wear something comfortable.
