The Perfect Travel Pants to Take You From Trail to Town!

I'm not ordinarily a fan of big brands, especially if they aren't owned and operated by women and made in America.  But when I was packing for my trip around the world I needed a pair of pants that could deliver on all my needs for a years worth of travel.  I needed pants to wear trekking, wouldn't be impossible to dry if I got caught in the rain, weren't a mosquito magnet, were light weight and could be dressed up and worn out to a restaurant or to grab a drink with friends. Did I mention flattering too? This sounds like asking a lot from a pair of pants, doesn't it?  Well, I was relentless and not only did I persevere, but I found the perfect pants!

The Wander Skinny Pant by Athleta.

Not only are the pants SUPER comfortable, stylish and versatile; especially for the minimalist active traveler, but I also believed in Athleta's views as a brand.

First, Athleta's mission is:

"OUR MISSION IS TO IGNITE A COMMUNITY OF ACTIVE, HEALTHY, CONFIDENT WOMEN AND GIRLS WHO EMPOWER EACH OTHER TO REALIZE THEIR LIMITLESS POTENTIAL."

They are way in alignment with the Her Travel Style goals and missions!

Second, Athleta stands for responsibility and fair trade, which is key for a responsible lady traveler:

"RECYCLED & SUSTAINABLE FABRICS PRESERVE THE EARTH'S RESOURCES"

Third, Athleta is all for innovation and smart fabrics and materials:

"WE’RE OBSESSED WITH CREATING INNOVATIVE DESIGN SOLUTIONS TO GIVE OUR CUSTOMERS PREMIUM PERFORMANCE & LIFESTYLE PRODUCTS THAT REMOVE EVERY PERFORMANCE OBSTACLE SO THEY CAN REACH THEIR LIMITLESS POTENTIAL IN SPORT & LIFE."

I wore my pants so much over the course of nearly a year and they held up perfectly.  The Trek Tech fabric was comfy and worked great in Machu Picchu, out to dinner in Swakopmund, Namibia, sight-seeing through Manchester and Berlin, and trekking Rainbow Mountain in Peru.  And they are uber packable; both light weight and can pack down easily in your backpack or packing cube.

I hope you love the Wander Skinny Pant as much as I do.  And if these pants aren't totally right for you, check out Athleta's latest inventory.  There might be just the right alternative available for you.

If you give them a try, let me know what you think.  And if you have any other pairs of pants that do this magic, definitely send me a note.  Happy Shopping! #PowertotheShe
