It all began in the summer of 1991...

I had just finished the 5th grade and was beyond thrilled to have an entire summer to relax, play and spend time with friends before the fall when junior high would start.  However, during dinner one night in late June, my father, with his wild ideas, had other plans in store for me and my summer of '91.  My first reaction to the news was devastation.  I couldn't imagine how I was going to go on with my life, not seeing my friends or having my anticipated routine for what felt like an entire year. After reluctantly packing my bags and saying my goodbyes, it turned out that spending 57 days traveling across the US with my family in a motorhome would be one of the best experiences of my entire life; turning me into an explorer with an intense passion and appreciation for travel and forever seeking adventure.

After studying dance in college I ended up falling into a corporate job that required business travel; traveling at least two weeks out of month all year.  And after nearly 14 years in that traditional structure, I decided it was time to set out on my own dream and pursue my style of travel, lipstick in hand. So, I quit my job, started a blog and hit the road for solid year! And I'm still going...

Her Travel Style isn't just about traveling and fashion, in the traditional sense of the word style, but rather a way (the way) she likes to travel.  We, especially as women, are multi-facetted and although we have our favorite things, we also like to change our perspective (much like our wardrobes) and go about traveling differently from time to time.  Perhaps this Christmas it's a trip to the tropics and staying in a resort, or next summer it's a trip to see the midnight sun of Iceland and camp the entire time.  Her Travel Style is for the stylish, down to earth, spontaneous, responsible, boss traveler.  She has a wild heart, has great taste, and of course, loves lipstick.

Her Travel Stye is a place to empower women to set out and explore what she has on Her bucket list the way she feels most comfortable.  Of course, this is designed to inspire and support solo female travel, but if there's something new worth trying, even with family or a bunch of girlfriends, Her Travel Style is the place for Her.

Her Travel Style looks to see what's hidden behind beautiful trees or what it's like to wander down a path covered in brush.  It's the deep desire to live and feel and wander and play and create tales you want to take home and re-live over and over again with no apologies and no regrets.  It's the place for women to live authentically and tell their tales and be badasses, connect, feel more love, and together we can step into the fantasy and take in the beauty forever ours to keep.

With love and lipstick,

Taryn.
